Volunteers

The Community Legal Clinic - Simcoe, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes is currently recruiting people to volunteer in our Orillia office. We are looking for new volunteers in the following areas of work:

  • reception
  • casefile management
  • clerical tasks including typing, filing, photocopying
  • providing intake to new clients

Whether you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to the community or to improve your skills and gain experience, we have a place for you. We provide training and ongoing support and supervision. Volunteers can commit to a regular schedule of days and hours, or a flexible one. We tailor our program as much as possible to your needs and interests. Ours is a busy, friendly, and at times chaotic, environment where people can really make a difference.

We are a non-profit clinic funded through Legal Aid Ontario to increase access to legal services for people with low income, and to promote the legal well-being of the communities we serve. We are under the direction of a 12-member community Board of Directors.

If you would like the opportunity to become a part of our team, or if you would like further information, please contact the clinic at 705-326-6444, extension 35, or fill out the Volunteer Application Form on this site. It can be submitted electronically or you can print a copy and drop it off at 71 Colborne St.E., Orillia, attention: Howard Tavroges.
